Eagle is an outdoor recreation hotspot — all year round. Between skiing, mountain biking and fishing, the access to activities from your Eagle home is unparalleled. Eagle has extensive trail systems. Depending on the trail, you can find singletrack mountain biking, hiking and trail running, horseback riding, or even ATV access. In the winter, many trails transition to Nordic skiing or snowshoeing trails for year-round access.
From Eagle, you can access both Vail Resort and Beaver Creek Resort within a 40-minute drive — and there are no mountain passes in between. The ski areas are owned by Vail Resorts and are on the Epic ski pass, so you can ski / snowboard on both resorts easily. Both of the premier ski resorts have summer amenities as well — like scenic chairlift rides, camps for kids and other family activities, downhill mountain biking, and more hiking access.
Fishing and hunting are abound around Eagle as well. Fish the Eagle River or Brush Creek, or many of the nearby mountain lakes. In the fall hunting season, big game tags include deer, elk and moose.
